Round 10 is the …
Round 10 is the last increase round, so the cap should start to curl down not long after that. I used a size F crochet hook and 3 ply yarn as mentioned at Time Code: 22 seconds. If the hook and yarn are larger, the cap will fit a teen/adult head. The link for the written instructions is posted under the “More Info”.

Any pattern can be …
Any pattern can be done in the continual round. Instead of joining, you work right in the top of the first stitch, starting the next round.

Is it possible to do a continuous round with any hat pattern? Whenever I use a slipstitch I get a really ugly seam line. Is it possible to use this technique on patterns calling for slip stitches? How does it work with a double crochet? Do i have to chain some for height? I’m so confused.

If it is worked in …
If it is worked in a continual round, you don’t have to worry about the exact first stitch. If you are working in rounds, you put the hook through the top of the first stitch that you joined for the previous round.
