Twitter Marketing Principle

Relationship building is the core of any Twitter marketing campaign and starting to market to your followers without doing this would be a big mistake. You first need to concentrate on forming these bonds with your contacts before you actually start sending them tweets about your products. The idea is to get to know them so that when you finally do start promoting stuff, they won’t even realize what you’re doing. The catch with Twitter marketing is that it’s not even marketing in the first place. It’s a way to reach out to your target audience by being you. You want to cultivate your followers so that you can use them for promotional purposes much later on. In a way, you’re helping your followers out with their problems by offering them a solution through your product. It’s really about recommending the products instead of selling them. You cannot make it on Twitter unless you understand this. You just might find committing those mistakes can cause you to fail. Think how you would feel if someone just tweeted you about a product without even knowing who they were. You must send tweets, and offer useful tips and hints, and then you can work on the marketing aspect once they trust you. Don’t just start sending out marketing links to your followers in droves. If you want to start selling a product, you need to go into it as carefully as you can. In other words, buffer your offer with some useful information first. For instance, if you are offering an ebook that helps people get rid of acne, then you need to first discuss acne and why it’s important to get rid of it. One way you can go about this is to let them know about products out there that they can try that are either too expensive or they don’t work outright. You must convince them that your product is where it’s at, and to do that you have to really get them hyped up about it. If you can explain it that way, a link will be well accepted, but if you just throw the link at the person without first approaching them, then you’ll fail. You have to avoid looking like a salesman but more like a friend who recommends something with the true intention to help.
